What this page covers

This describes how Rivet Energy handles information collected through rivetenergypartners.com. It applies to the website only.

We are a New Jersey commercial and multifamily HVAC retrofit business. The information we collect is the information needed to answer an enquiry and to understand how the site is being used — nothing else.

Information you give us directly

If you call, text or email us, we receive whatever you choose to send — typically a name, a contact number or email address, and details about your building.

If a project goes ahead, we will also need twelve months of your electric and gas bills and your utility account details. That information is used to model the energy saving and to prepare the incentive application on your behalf, and it is shared with your utility as part of that application. It is not used for anything else.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising.

Analytics and cookies

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the pages. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and the source that referred you.

That data is processed by Google. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measures page views and page speed without using cookies and without tracking visitors across sites.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking them will not stop you using this site.

Hosting and delivery

This site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as IP addresses in order to deliver pages and to protect the site from abuse.

How long we keep things

Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and, where a project proceeds, for as long as the project and any incentive application require. Analytics data is retained according to the retention period set in Google Analytics.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call or text us and we will handle it.

You can also opt out of analytics using the browser controls and Google opt-out linked above, which stops data being collected in the first place.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect changes, this page changes with it. It describes what the site does today rather than what it might do later.
